Friedmund Neumann Prize

On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, the Ernst Schering Foundation, Berlin, in 2012 for the first time will present the Friedmund Neumann Prize to young scientists for outstanding basic research in biology, chemistry or medicine. The prize carries a cash award of 10,000 euros. The prize is dedicated to the memory of Prof. Dr. vet. med. Friedmund Neumann (1935-2007) in honor of his groundbreaking research on modern gestagens and his commitment to promoting young scientists. For the prize 2012 nominations are not possible anymore. The prize winners will be selected by the Scientific Committee of the Ernst Schering Foundation by April 30, 2012. The award ceremony will take place on September 10, 2012, at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities. The prize winner is invited to give a lecture on the occasion of the award.
