Wael Shawky honored with the Ernst Schering Foundation Art Award 2011

On August 25, 2012, the exhibition Al Araba Al Madfuna by Egyptian artist Wael Shawky, winner of the 2011 Ernst Schering Foundation Art Award, will open at the KW Institute of Contemporary Art. The award, which is presented by the Ernst Schering Foundation in cooperation with KW, includes a solo exhibition at KW, a catalogue, and prize money of 10,000 Euro. For his first major institutional solo exhibition, Wael Shawky will create a new, large-scale work. Wael Shawky: Al Araba Al Madfuna.
