Philipp Lachenmann: DELPHI Rationale

Schering Stiftung Art Award

Every two years, the Ernst Schering Foundation awards the Schering Stiftung Art Award in cooperation with KW Institute for Contemporary Art. The 10,000-euro award honors  international artists considered to be the most important newcomers in the fine arts during the previous two years.

In 2005 and 2007, the Schering Stiftung Art Award was awarded in cooperation with the Berlinische Galerie in the categories of painting and sculpture.

The Schering Stiftung Art Award includes a solo exhibition at KW Institute for Contemporary Art and a monograph of the artist’s work.

Through this prize, the Ernst Schering Foundation seeks to support the career of young artists who have already demonstrated outstanding talent and who have the potential of establishing artistic standards.

It is not possible to apply directly for the Schering Stiftung Art Award.
