Ernst Schering Prize 2008

Prof. Dr. Klaus Rajewsky

After receiving the emeritus status in 2001, Professor Rajewsky moved from Cologne to Harvard University where he is still successfully leading a scientific research group. With bestowing the Ernst Schering Prize on Mr. Klaus Rajewsky, the Ernst Schering Foundation also would like to advert to the fact that the German science system is suffering from the loss of outstanding scientists by putting up rigid age restrictions.

In the course of the award Professor Rajewsky will hold a public lecture on the topic “MIcroRNA Control in Lymphocytes” at Kaiserin-Friedrich-Haus in Berlin-Mitte, on the 8th october 2008 at 16:00 pm. The lecture will be in English.
